Leopard Rock Lodge is a five-star luxury lodge located in Meru National Park, Kenya. Meru National Park is one of the most beautiful and untouched parks in Kenya. At Leopard Rock Lodge, guests will enjoy a high class experience in a fascinating and charming environment.

Every Cottage is furnished with wooden, hand carved furniture to create a chic, stylish decor while at the same time, keeping an authentic African tone. Our cottages are very spacious, offering more than 75 meters squared and are separate from each other to offer a comfortable distance for privacy. The cottages are completely equipped with a polished bathroom and all of the amenities one may expect. The Lodge is also completely unfenced and open to the wildlife. It is not common to see animals such as giraffes and antelopes roaming close to the Lodge and around the cottages, allowing guests to completely immerse themselves.

Day by Day Tour Itinerary

SAMBURU GAME RESERVE ITINERARY

Samburu National Reserve is situated within the Rift Valley Province. The park is roughly 350km from Nairobi. The Uaso Nyiro river cuts through this reserve, drawing a bog population of Kenya animals to the park. The river bustles with activity from its huge population of Nile crocodile
The reserve topography is mainly open savannah with clusters ocf acacia trees, forest, thorn trees and grassland vegetation. The park is one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness. Their story was made famous by the bestselling book and award-winning movie “Born Free”

DAY 1: NAIROBI /SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

Depart Nairobi at 07:00 hrs and drive south along the Central Kenya Highlands arriving Samburu in time for lunch.
Spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing then evening game drive at 4p.m. Return for dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

DAY 2: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

After breakfast leave for a half day game drive. Animals commonly seen are elephants, lions, cheetahs, Gravy’s zebras, Reticulated giraffes, Gerenuks, buffaloes, Onyx, gazelles, Dik-dik and water bucks.
Return to the lodge for lunch followed by swimming games and relaxation. At 4p.m we leave for an evening game drive till sunset then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: SAMBURU / NAIROBI

Start with an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Swimming or relaxation then check out at 10.00hrs and start journey back to Nairobi. Lunch stop over at Nanyuki, mostly Trout tree restaurant, at own cost.
